Lugazi FC has acquired the service of attacking midfielder Lumumba Norman Eluzai as their second signing in the ongoing transfer windows.
The South Sudanese gifted youngster has penned down a three year employment contract and also become the first foreigner to play for the Leaders. The 19 years old is Lugazi’s second signing after midfielder Hussein Ssenoga’s arrival.
An accomplished South Sudanese international at the youth level, Lumumba’s attacking prowess and shrewd creativity was key as the South Sudan U-20 national team reached the quarter finals of the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in 2023. He was also part of the junior Bright Stars at the 13th All Africa Games in Ghana last year.
South Sudan international was excited with the opportunity of joining the Leaders.
“It’s a fresh start to prove my worth, adapt to a new environment and aim for huge success as we write the story together. But most importantly, this is a great opportunity for me to grow as a player,” he said.
“Surely, I have been following this team. It’s fantastic style of play attracted me to come as I believe it can also give me an opportunity to grow in a more competitive environment.”
“I definitely believe Lugazi FC can give me the platform to challenge myself and also gain exposure. But what is most important is, working hard, understanding what the coach requires from me, building healthy relationships with the teammates and staying patient and confident.”
