The Federation of Uganda Football Associations president, Moses Magogo has announced in a brotherhood spirit his no more intentions for a position on the CAF Executive Committee leaving the Tanzania Football Federation President Wallace Karia un opposed. The CAF elections will be in March.
The development was reaveled at the CECAFA Non Elective Ordinary Assembly held on January 22nd 2025 at the imperial Plaza Hotel in Juba, South Sudan.
In the same Assembly the members of CECAFA agreed to support Souleiman Hassan Waberi for a position on the FIFA Council in the upcoming elections scheduled for March 2025.
Karia the CECAFA president said since the Zone has never had a member on the FIFA Council, the zone has decided to support Waberi who is also president of the Djibouti football federation.
