Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) FC is set to host bottom-placed Mbale Heroes under the floodlights at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo, in today’s Uganda Premier League (UPL) encounter.

The Tax Collectors are eager to bounce back after their recent elimination from the Stanbic Uganda Cup by Kataka FC on March 19, 2025. In that match, URA led through an 80th-minute penalty by Abraham Tusubira, but Kataka equalized shortly after and eventually triumphed 5-3 in the penalty shootout.

Earlier in the season, on October 5, 2024, URA delivered a commanding 4-0 victory over Mbale Heroes at Mbale Municipal Stadium.

Forward Ivan Ahimbisibwe was the standout performer, netting a first-half hat-trick with goals in the 12th, 17th, and 33rd minutes. Amisi Bwangani added a fourth goal in the 59th minute, sealing a comprehensive win for URA.

URA occupies the seventh position on the UPL table with 30 points from 20 matches, while Mbale Heroes languish in 16th place with just 10 points from the same number of games. Mbale Heroes have struggled throughout the season, managing only two wins, four draws, and 14 losses.

Given the current form and league standings, URA appears to have the upper hand in this fixture. However, football is unpredictable, and Mbale Heroes will be desperate to secure points to aid their fight against relegation.
