The Uganda Handball Federation (UHF) have announced that Mbogo Mixed Secondary will be the 2025 Uganda Handball Novices hosts. The tournament will run from 8th to 9th March 2025.
The two days event will attract participants from different teams including; clubs/institutions, secondary schools and primary schools.
This is introduction tournament to the game of handball for players who have played the game for not more than 3 years.

President of Uganda Handball Federation, Shiela Agonzibwe stated, “The tournament helps children explore their talents, the future of the sports in Uganda is these young children, but head teachers must play their role by giving these children the opportunity to explore their talents.”
Requirements for participation are as listed below:
- Registration fees:
a. Clubs/Institutions – shs. 150,000
b. Secondary Schools – shs. 100,000
c. Primary Schools – shs. 50,000 - Teams to meet their own transport, meals and accommodation
- Eligible players are those who haven’t played handball form more than 3 years
- A club/school is free to register more than one team
- IHF rules will apply in this tournament
