Moses Alsayed Lubega will lead the Uganda Sports Press Association for another two years after he was re-elected unopposed for a second and final term during the association’s Annual General Meeting held at the Uganda Olympic Committee Offices in Lugogo on November 30th 2024 .
Lubega, who succeeded Patrick Kanyomozi in 2022, appreciated the members of the association for trusting him.
A joyful Alsayed Lubega promised to look on to previous UPSA executive members for advise, to restore the lost USPA glory shortly after swearing for the second term.
“My aim in the next two years is to focus on equipping members with skills that can enable them work and to bring back the glory days of USPA.”
”Am delighted with this transition, we would love to thank the founder members of the association, I thank all of you for the support and trust to lead you, to the senior members, I will always look on to you for advise and guidance. Am a good listener and I pledge to live to the spirit,” Lubega added.
New Vision’s Shafic Senoga who in the previous term was the Assistant General secretary, will be the General secretary. He replaced Clive Kyazze who resigned from the role in early October 2024.
On the Executive, Francisco Bwambale replaced Solomon Ssaka for Organising Secretary as UBC’s Amon Ngabo will be the new treasure. They were all unopposed.
