Motorsports governing body holds Annual General Meeting

The Federation of Motorsports Club of Uganda (FMU) delegates deferred with the financial reports presented to them during the general assembly on Saturday. The Assembly took place at Kati Kati Restaurant in Lugogo.

During the assembly presided by Hajji Hamid Gombe, the Vice Presindent, delegates were not convinced by the records presented to them by the executive and opted to send them back as they asked to be returned when well prepared. They also cautioned the executive from violating the constitution by not sending the reports with the notice as per the constitution.

Hakim Mawanda a rally navigator said, “We request you to respect us. When you call us to the assembly send us these documents and always have them gone through by the auditors so that they identify the shortfalls.”

The assembly passed a resolution to extend the financial report to June so that the treasurer and auditors are given ample time to prepare proper books for the AGM.

On matters of the court cases the Federation is involved in the lawyers noted that they are in the court of appeal and are prepared to take on any battle in the court.

Federation committees which included; the legal committee, sporting commission, media committee, medical and safety commission were approved by the assembly.
