Proverbs 14:21 says that; “It is a sin to despise one’s neighbour, but blessed is the one who is kind to the needy.” This verse matched directly with the rallying fraternity as MPU motorsport club in conjunction with Multiphar Uganda Limited and Consultant Africa Uganda donates to CWAS-Nsambya babies’ home.

Led by the Bogere Daniel, the club president yesterday, MPU donated things used in the daily life of nurturing up children including fruits, milk, dippers among others. They were delivered to the home administrator, Sister Maria Teddy Nakyanzi.

“We really appreciate this opportunity of being here today. We are here as a club affiliated to FMU. We want to share love as the motorsport fraternity,” stated Bogere.
He further added that, “We are much concerned about children who really need the love. Today is just a beginning of our partnership with Nsambya babies’ home. We continue to promise to help and share the little we have to help these children. I also call upon other rally fraternity members to join hands in sharing the love to these children.”

MPU is one of the 16 clubs affiliated to the country’s motorsports mother body, the Federation of Motorsports Clubs in Uganda (FMU) and it was the organising club of this season’s calendar opener, Mbarara Rally early this year in place of Mbarara Motorsports Club which was stripped off the organising rights for this year’s event.

Nsambya babies’ home, takes care of babies from little age to 5 years. It’s obliged to have a 30 children capacity but right now it’s above its capacity with 38 children.

Sr. Nakyanzi, the administrator expressed their challenges thus calling upon other stakeholders for support.

“Tracing the family members, reuniting, and the medical care are the most challenging factors in the home. Thanks for visiting us and sparing some time and donating to the home. We call upon other people to join the likes of MPU in donating to the home,” Sr. Nakyanzi says.

This year, the Nsambya babies’ home which was started in 1969 is celebrating 55 years of existence.
