Uganda crane’s and kitara fc forward Dennis Omendi and Kampala Queens fc star Zainah Nandede were crowned as the best MTN Male and Female respectively most valuable players of the year, 2025 during a glamorous awards night held at the Kampala Serena Hotel in Kampala on Friday evening.
Both players were rewarded by Shs 1M, trophy, medal and drove home with a brand new car each.
To win this accolade, Omendi beat Patrick Jonah Kakande and Ronald ssekiganda from SC Villa and Viper’s Allan Okello.

He had an outstanding performance during the year that witnessed his club Kitara fc to win the thier first ever Stanbic Uganda cup title and named the top scorer .
He was also part of the Uganda Cranes team scoring crucial goals and making odd assists.

At the same awards, Kampala Queens FC winger Zainah Nandede was named the Female Footballer of the Year which came as surprise to many women football followers .
To win the award, Nandede beat Kampala Queens’ Shamira Nalugya and Agnes Nabukenya of Kawempe Muslims women football club .
