BUL FC edged UPDF FC 1-0 in a tightly contested Uganda Premier League encounter played at the Bombo Military Barracks Ground, claiming all three points thanks to a first-half breakthrough from Karim Ndugwa.

The hosts started brightly and applied early pressure, winning a series of corners inside the opening 25 minutes, but BUL stood firm through disciplined defending. As UPDF pushed forward, gaps began to appear, and BUL punished them in the 35th minute when Ndugwa calmly finished off a well-timed assist from Denis Ssewagudde to give the visitors the lead.
UPDF attempted to respond before the break but failed to find a way past BUL’s organised backline, heading into halftime trailing by a single goal.

After the restart, the army side made changes in search of an equaliser and enjoyed spells of possession, yet clear-cut chances remained hard to come by. BUL managed the game intelligently, slowing the tempo and frustrating the hosts while remaining dangerous on the counter.
Despite late pressure from UPDF, BUL held on to secure a vital away victory. Midfielder Tah Barni Kelvin delivered a commanding performance in the middle of the park and was deservedly named Man of the Match.

The win lifted BUL to eighth place on the league table with 19 points, while UPDF’s struggles continued as they remained second from bottom on 11 points.
