New York Red Bulls II releases Ugandan forward

New York Red Bulls II have announced the release of Ugandan forward Frank Ssebuufu and Dallas Odle as they are excluded on the end year roster.

The Ugandan striker has been released after the expiring of his two years contract. Ssebuufu joined the US side in 2022. His future is uncertain, but several clubs are reportedly interested in signing him.

Ssebuufu played a total of 55 games and scored 10 goals plus 8 assists for New York Red Bulls II. He has tallied three goals and an assist in 15 appearances for the side this season. The former Buddo SS forward made 47 appearances over three seasons for Wakiso Giants FC.

Meanwhile his compatriots Ibrahim Kasule and Steven Sserwadda are negotiating new deals with the Club.

In the recently concluded 2024 MLS NEXT Pro season, Ssebuufu played 26 games, scored one goal and provided 4 assists.
