Hoima based Kitara Football Club’s star forward Denis Omedi has signed for Rwanda’s Premier league Giant APR FC at a yet disclosed fee.
Omedi who was part of Kitara FC’s squad that won 1-0 against SC Villa yesterday at the Royals Park in Butema Hoima travelled to Rwanda with SC Villa’s striker Hakim Kiwanuka shortly after the match.

The duo was unveiled as APR FC’s new signings shortly after APR FC vs Marine FC match at Umuganda Stadium. Both players have put pen to paper on two year contracts each. They join midfielder Tadeo Lwanga who is the other Ugandan player at APR FC.

However, when Rora Media contacted Kitara FC’s communications officer, Geoffrey Tumwesige, he declined to give a comment saying that the club will issue a statement in the coming days.

“As a club, we released all players to have a break and rest because the first round of the Uganda Premier league ended yesterday so things pertaining Omedi’s departure as a club we shall issue a statement later but of now treat what your seeing as social media posts,” Tumwesige said.
Before joining APR, Omedi is believed to have had trails in Spain and Tanzania.
