The Uganda Cranes Head Coach Paul Joseph Put has today summoned a provisional squad of 36 players including three Uganda Cubs youngsters ahead of the 2024 Total Energies African Nations Championship (CHAN).
The youngsters; James Bogere, Brian Ijara and Isima Magala fresh from guiding the Uganda U17 National Team to AFCON qualification have all made the cut on the squad for CHAN 2024.

The Masaka Sunshine FC duo promising talents of Magala and Bogere are hoping to make their Cranes’ debut alongside the KCCA FC versatile midfielder Ijara.
Bogere put in an astonishing performances during the tournament finishing as the top scorer with seven goals including the winning goal in the 2025 AFCON U-17 qualifiers (CECAFA Zone) final against Tanzania at Hamz Stadium in Nakivubo.

The squad comprises of four goalkeepers, twelve defenders, ten midfielders and ten forwards. The team will start training on Friday, 10th January with non-residential training up to Sunday before entering residential camp on Monday next week at Cranes Paradise Hotel, Kisasi.
CHAN 2024 will take place between 1st -28th February 2025 in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
