The Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally is buzzing with anticipation as top drivers from across East Africa will be converging in Mbarara for a thrilling showdown.

With a record-breaking 53 entries, the stage is set for an exhilarating competition. Defending champion Karan Patel is back to defend his title, eyeing a historic hat-trick of African Rally Championship wins and a back to back Pearl Rally win.

Although he’s the favorite, Patel faces stiff competition from talented local drivers like Duncan Mubiru ‘Kikankane’, Ronald Ssebuguzi, Ponsiano Lwakataka among others, who are hungry for glory.

After four out of six past event years of Kenyan dominance, Uganda’s top crews are determined to break the mold and claim the coveted Pearl Rally trophy.

The battle for ARC points will feature top contenders like Karan Patel, Samman Vohra, and Sameer Nanji from Kenya, as well as Tanzania’s Prince Charles Nyerere and Uganda’s own George Michael Mukula, Moustapha Mukasa, Susan Muwonge, Sodo Aine Kaguta and Yasin Nasser.

Over three action-packed days, drivers will tackle 11 challenging sections, covering a total of 286.26 km of treacherous terrain. The crowd is electric, ready to cheer on their favorites as they speed by.

With so much at stake, the Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally promises to deliver high-octane drama and heart-pumping action.
