Police FC will be aiming to complete a double over visiting Kitara FC when the two teams meet at Kavumba Recreation Ground on Thursday, March 27, 2025, as the Uganda Premier League resumes after the international break.

In the reverse fixture at Butema, Police secured a 1-0 victory, marking their third consecutive win over Kitara in the league, dating back to when Kitara first played in the top division during the 2021/22 season. However, a lot has changed for both teams since then.

Despite having a poor start, Kitara have improved, and they now sit 6th in the league table with 29 points, although they have faltered in their last two matches.

Police, currently in 12th place with 23 points, will be looking to close the gap and boost their position in the league standings with a win.

They will face a slightly depleted Kitara side, who will be without Amos Etoju (suspended), Benjamin Nyakoojo (injured), Marvin Nyanzi and Rogers Mugisha.

Given the recent form of both sides, this match promises to be an intriguing contest, with Kitara looking to bounce back from recent setbacks, while Police will aim to extend their recent dominance over the Hoima-based team.
