The 2026 Rally Chile Bio Bío roars into action this weekend, 11-13 September, as Round 12 of the FIA World Rally Championship. And this year, Chile is throwing up a huge challenge.
WHAT’S NEW FOR 2026
Nearly 40% of the route features fresh sections never used in the WRC before.
Shakedown also moves for 2026 – the new El Manzano-Miramar test is now closer to the Concepcion service park than in previous years.
THE ROUTE BREAKDOWN
Friday: Full attack from the start. All six special stages will be run on revised roads, with each stage run twice.
Saturday: The longest and most brutal day – 139.2km against the clock across classic loops like Pelún, Lota, and María Las Cruces.
Sunday: A sting in the tail. It features the debut of the monster 26.82km Carampangue stage and the concluding Bio Bío Power Stage, where crucial championship points are on the line.
JUNIOR WRC TITLE DECIDER
Rally Chile will also host the season finale of the FIA Junior WRC – the first time the category’s title will be decided outside Europe.
Home hero Gerardo Rosselot will be among the seven crews in identical Ford Fiesta Rally3 cars, as championship frontrunners Calle Carlberg, Ali Türkkan and Gil Membrado head to Chile with the crown still up for grabs.
Gravel, new roads, and a title fight on the edge – Chile is set to be decisive.
