St Noa are the 2024-25 Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Elite League champions after edging Asubo Ladies FC 1-0 in a tightly contested final, thanks to an early goal from Sylvia Kabene.

The match-winning moment came just four minutes in, when a defensive mix-up between Asubo’s Desire Katisi and goalkeeper Olga Lukiya allowed Kabene to pounce and fire home what would prove to be the only goal of the game.

St Noa dominated much of the first half but couldn’t convert their control into more goals. The second half was disrupted by heavy rain, which made fluid play difficult for both sides. Nonetheless, the match was completed, and Kabene’s early strike was enough to secure St Noa’s first-ever Women Elite League title.

Despite the defeat, Asubo Ladies FC had already confirmed their promotion to the top flight alongside St Noa. This was their second consecutive Elite League final loss at the same venue.

St Noa capped off a stellar season unbeaten, conceding just once throughout the campaign.
