Stanbic Uganda Cup R64

Mayuge United vs Lugazi FC

Lugazi FC aim to pick maximum points ahead of Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 64 clash against the fourth division league side Mayunge United at Wembley play ground today’s evening.

Speaking to head coach Steven Bogere and Oliver Mbekeka they noted that they have worked enough on the link up play of the team and they are now in the right shape to score lots of goals starting today.

“Goalkeeper Juma Mutebi is back, the team is in good shape and there is vibe in the camp. We have not been scoring enough yet conceding one or two goals. We have now worked upon that challenge. We have worked on connecting the midfield to the attack in the quickest way, and then scoring well-built and planned goals.”

Mayuge United apparently plays in the Mayuge district fourth division league, sitting at top of the log with nine points after three games. It’s Uganda Cup journey includes victories at home over Jinja North United and Stone City (Walougie Corporates), and an away win over Bugiri East Enders on penalties – all opponents are competing in the Eastern Regional League this season.
