Uganda Cricket Association ready to host LYCA Women’s Day Cup at Entebbe Oval

The Uganda Cricket Association (UCA) is ready host the LYCA Women’s Day Series, a prestigious women’s T20 international cricket tournament set to take place in Entebbe, Uganda.

The series will feature four competitive teams: Uganda (Victoria Pearls), Nepal, Namibia, and Hong Kong. The tournament is scheduled to take place from March 7th to March 17 and it promises high-intensity action as some of the best associate cricketing nations battle for supremacy.

The Victoria Pearls, Uganda’s national women’s cricket team, will look to capitalize on home advantage as they face strong opposition from Nepal, Namibia, and Hong Kong. Each team is expected to bring a squad of experienced and rising stars, making it a thrilling showcase of women’s cricket talent.

“We are excited to host this prestigious tournament and welcome our fellow cricketing nations to Uganda. The LYCA Women’s Day Series is not just about competition, it’s about celebrating the progress of women’s cricket and inspiring future generations,” said Lelia Namaganda Ondeko Women’s Representative on the Uganda Cricket Association

The Victoria Pearls will start the tournament playing against Hong Kong on March 8th at the Entebbe Oval.
