Uganda’s celebrated Tennis player Samuel Okello, one of the top junior players, will be competing in the ITF/CAT Tanzania Junior Circuit for 14 years and under. Okello will be accompanied by ITF Level 2 coach Edward Odockcen.
Okello previously won the Kenya 14&Under Junior Circuit in 2024, was a 2nd runner up in the Boys’ 14&Under singles at Eastern Africa Junior Championships in Nairobi, Kenya 2025 and recently won the UTA Junior Series 18&Under Boys’ category.
He is currently ranked 7th with 1715 points in the 14&Under Boys’ category on the African continent and also ranked 1st in the East African region.
Okello will be the top seed in the tournament. His participation aims to earn more ITF/CAT ranking points, enabling him to compete favorably in future tournaments.
The ITF/CAT Tanzania Junior Circuit is not only a competition but also an opportunity for players to connect, learn, and earn CAT ranking points.
