UPDF FC Vs Mbale Heroes – Bombo Military Grounds
UPDF FC aim to pick maximum points run of results as they host wounded Mbale Heroes at Bombo military Barracks stadium today evening.
They picked two huge wins in their last five games over Mbarara City, BUL FC, drew with Police FC and lost two against SC villa and Kitara FC. Their next assignment is against Mbale Heroes and head coach Paul Kiwanuka is confident of continuity.
“We come in the game with a run of two wins in the last five games, and we are in better form than Mbale heroes,” he told the Rora Media.
“It might be difficult because Mbale Heroes might be motivated by the fact that it is a sort of a derby, but we’re ready, we have rectified the mistakes we have been making, and we go into this game as slight favorites,” he added.
UPDF FC defeated BUL FC on a 0-2 score in their last game and comes into the game with alot of confidence. They have won twice, lost twice and drawn once in their last five games.
Mbale Heroes comes into the game after suffering a huge defeat of a 6-0 to Kitara FC in their previous encounter.
Asaph Mwebaze’s side has played six games away and they managed to collect only one point against Lugazi FC. They lost to Express, Wakiso Giants, Police FC, Mbarara City FC and previously Kitara.
Mbale Heroes lie in the relegation zone in the 15th place with 8 points and a win could see them move to 11 points.
For UPDF FC, they lie in the 5th on 16 points and a win could see them move to 19 points close to 4th placed KCCA FC.
