URA FC have kicked off their transfer business ahead of the 2026/27 Uganda Premier League season by landing winger Muhammad Kyeyune on a long-term deal.

The Tax Collectors announced the arrival of the pacey attacker on Tuesday, making him the club’s first acquisition of the current transfer window as preparations intensify for the new campaign.

Kyeyune has committed his future to the Lugazi-based outfit by signing a three-year contract that will keep him at the club until 2029.

The winger joins from Entebbe UPPC after an impressive debut top-flight season in which he showcased his speed, dribbling ability and creativity on the flanks. He contributed two goals and three assists, performances that convinced URA to move for his signature.

Before returning to Uganda, Kyeyune spent two successful seasons in Rwanda with Muhazi United, where he established himself as one of the club’s key attacking players, registering nine goals and eight assists between 2023 and 2025.

A product of the KCCA Soccer Academy, the left-footed attacker has steadily built his career through spells at Maroons FC, Soltilo Bright Stars, Muhazi United and Entebbe UPPC, gaining valuable experience in both the Uganda Premier League and the Rwanda Premier League.

In unveiling their new recruit, URA described Kyeyune as a player capable of adding creativity, flair and attacking quality to the squad as the club looks to strengthen its options ahead of the forthcoming season.

His arrival is expected to bolster URA’s wide attacking positions, with the club hoping his pace and ability to beat defenders will provide a fresh dimension in the final third.
