URA FC has secured back-to-back wins with a sensational display against Mbarara City, securing a 2-0 victory at Kakyeka Stadium this Friday evening. This win followed a 3-2 victory over Mbale Heroes FC in their last encounter.

URA outclassed Mbarara City through Ivan Ahimbisibwe and Bruno Bunyaga strikes in the 17th and 79th minutes respectively at the Kakyeka stadium in Mbarara.

The Tax collector’s got the opener in the seventeenth minute of the game through Ivan Ahimbisibwe from a sweet header inside the box to past goalkeeper Kimera Abdul. Ahimbisibwe headed in Moses Aliro’s cross.

Coach Alex Isabirye made two changes from the team that defeated Mbale Heroes FC with Bright Vuni starting ahead of Enock Walusimbi who had a knock.

The substitute Bruno Bunyaga doubled the lead with a calm finish past Kimera from a Vuni’s long pass assist.

Joshua Lubwama also had a rocket stopped by Kimera while the lanky midfielder earlier skewed over a free kick in a good position.

The win propels URA FC to 4th place in the Startimes Uganda Premier League standings, boasting 36 points from 22 games while Mbarara City remains 10th with 23 points in 22 matches.

In thier next matches Tax collector’s will hosts Bright Stars FC on Wednesday 9th April 2025 at Hamz stadium while Ankole Lions will visit Police at Kavumba Recreation grounds on April 10th.
