Usama Arafat’s strike gives KCCA FC’s interim coach first league win

KCCA FC returned to winning ways with a 1-0 win against Mbarara City FC in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League matchday twenty five at MTN-Omondi Stadium under floodlights.

Usama Arafat’s second half strike gave them a win this extending KCCA FC’s unbeaten home run against Mbarara City to seven games; winning five and drawing two matches.

Mbarara City is now nine league games without winning with their last victory coming against Mbale Heroes in February.

In the 13th minute, Bright Anukani teed up Usama Arafat with the former hits his effort over the bar.

KCCA FC’s goalkeeper Anthony Emojong made a spectacular save, and tips Wycliffe Ahumuza’s effort over the bar in the 24th minute of the game.

KCCA FC’s interim head coach Jackson Magera praised his players for their performance, highlighting their determination and focus.

“I’m proud of the team’s effort today. Our focus now shifts to the next game against Police FC in Kavumba, and we’ll continue to push for better results,” said Magera stated.

KCCA FC has maintained the sixth position on the Uganda Premier League table with 37 points. Mbarara City remains 13th with 23 points in twenty five matches.
