Buhimba v SC Villa, 4pm
SC Villa will be out to prove that last week’s comeback win wasn’t a one-off when they travel west to face high-flying newcomers Buhimba United Saints at Royals Park in Butema.
After a sluggish start to the campaign, the Jogoos finally found their rhythm against Police FC, rallying from a goal down to secure a 2–1 victory courtesy of second-half strikes from Geoffrey Gagganga and Charles Lwanga. The result not only lifted morale in the Villa camp but also offered a glimpse of the grit that has long defined the 16-time champions.
Coach Dusan Stojanovic now faces the next test turning that single win into sustained momentum. Villa’s start to the season has been far from ideal, with only four points from three games, but a victory in Butema could restore belief and stabilize their campaign.

Their task, however, won’t be simple. Buhimba United Saints, one of the surprise packages of the new season, have taken the league by storm with three wins in their opening four fixtures. Despite their 3–0 humbling at the hands of BUL in their last outing, the Saints have already shown they can mix it with the established sides.
Coach Richard Odoch’s team will aim to bounce back strongly in front of their home fans. The return of Fred Nkata and Solomon Akodi adds steel and creativity to the squad, although winger Gideon Mpia remains sidelined.
Villa, meanwhile, are still without injured trio Patrick Jonah Kakande, Arnold Odong, and Sula Matovu, all of whom remain key absentees.
For the Jogoos, it’s a chance to string together back-to-back wins and climb up the table. For Buhimba, it’s about rediscovering the fearless form that marked their impressive start.
Two teams with contrasting missions, one stage Butema is set for a fascinating clash between ambition and revival.
