Uganda Premier League leaders shifted once again on Tuesday evening as Vipers SC and NEC FC secured vital victories in separate fixtures.
At St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende, Vipers SC delivered a commanding 3-0 win over Lugazi FC to reclaim top spot with 41 points, two ahead of second-placed Kitara FC.
Rogers Ochaki Torach opened the scoring in the 19th minute before Usama Kizza Arafat doubled the lead on the half-hour mark. Chukwuma Odili put the result beyond doubt in first-half stoppage time (45+3), capping a dominant display that earned him the Man of the Match accolade.

Vipers managed the second half well while Lugazi who also made multiple changes failed to mount a comeback. The defeat leaves Lugazi 10th on 18 points.
In Lugogo, NEC FC edged UPDF FC 1-0 to climb to seventh with 27 points. Ronald Media Innocent struck the decisive goal in the 80th minute in a tightly contested encounter that saw no bookings.
Despite late substitutions from both sides, UPDF could not find an equaliser and remain second from bottom on 12 points as the survival battle intensifies.
UPDF goalkeeper Shamulan Kamya put up man of performances on the day after making several point blank saves to deny his side not to concede so many goals

Sounds like a really intense match! It’s great to see Vipers maintaining their lead.
