The Royals visits on form Vipers SC which continue the hunt for the 2024/2025 Uganda Premier League at the St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende today Saturday.
Wasswa Bbosa has insisted Kitara FC can still turn around their season even after their poor start run in the league and the team bounced back after humiliating UPDF FC 4-0 in Hoima in their last fixture to reclaim first win of the season.

Bbosa said every team hits a rough patch and it’s still early for them to panic ahead of Vipers’ clash.
“We suffered a setback in the previous game but after bounced back with a win against UPDF FC. We are well aware that the league is a marathon and not a sprint. We have worked on a number of things and we should see improvements against Vipers.”
“We have no reason to panic against venoms, we are step by step handling the few challenges on the pitch and we are sure the team can sort this out,” he said.
“We have to make statement in today’s game in kitende as we face a boggy side Vipers but our players are in good mood and this is the most important thing. We’ve got over twenty games left to play, and we got to work together and stick to the plan.”
Kitara sits 15th on the 16-team log with seven points collected in nine games. However, they were emphatic 4-0 victors over UPDF FC last time out.

On other side the Venoms come into the encounter second on the log, as they have accumulated 20 points in nine matches.
Last season in Kitende, Vipers were narrow 2-1 winners, courtesy of a Bright Anukani brace. Jude Ssemugabi netted Kitara’s consolation.

Away from home in Masindi, Vipers were comfortable 2-0 victors, thanks to Yunus Sentamu and Abubakar Lawal’s strikes.
Since 2020, Vipers and Kitara have met four times in the league, with as many victories for the former.
