Vipers Sports Club seek to maintain thier incredible form as they will lock horns with UPDF FC at the Bombo Military Grounds today Friday evening.

The lethal forward Yunus Sentamu is back in the squad after fully recovering from his swollen eye problem that saw him miss the game against Mbale Heroes FC.

After finishing his UACE exams and National team (U-17) duties, youngster Abubakali Walusimbi for the first time since the FUFA Super 8 final is in the 23-man squad that will face UPDF. Goalkeeper Jack Komakech is on a smooth road to regain his fully fitness.

The Kitende based side will miss out defender Nicholas Wadada after suffering abdominal pain earlier this week and goalkeeper Denis Kiggundu is also not in the squad after contracting malaria this week.

The Venoms will look to make it back to back victories in the league after a comfortable and emphatic 4-0 win over Mbale Heroes FC last time out, about two weeks back at the Mbale Municipal Stadium.

Vipers are unbeaten in their 14 games encounter against UPDF FC. They have won 10 and drew 4. The Uganda Premier League six times champions are table leaders with 28 points after 13 matches.

On the other hand, the Army side lies 10th on the 16 teams’ table with 17 points from 13 matches.

UPDF FC head coach Paul Kiwanuka couldn’t hide his worries about his team but confidence for maximum points against table leaders.

“The performance is not bad, only that we are aiming at maximum points in this encounter, we are improving day by day we are ready for the test,” Paul Kiwanuka who once coached Vipers stated during thepre match interview.
