The Federation of Uganda Basketball Association (FUBA) have selected 15 woman Gazelles squad ahead of the FIBA Women’s Afrobasket Qualifiers in Egypt.
Nicholas Natuhereza was named has new head coach and will be assisted by Julius Lutwama while former Silverbacks star, Ben Komakech will be the Video Analyst. The announcement was confirmed through a statement released by FUBA on Monday.

The Gazelles are set to commence their preparations today, Tuesday, January 21, 2025, ahead of the continental qualifiers set for next month (February) in Cairo, Egypt.
Jane Asinde, Hope Akello, Melissa Akullu, and Claire Lamunu are the only players on the team that represented at the 2023 Women’s Afrobasket in Kigali, where Uganda finished 7th.
