There was excitement as the 2025 CFK beginning-of-year badminton tournament climaxed yesterday, Sunday 19th January 2025 at CFK Badminton Academy Arena. Over 150 badminton players participated in the 3rd edition of this tournament.
The two-day tournament played in three categories that is; junior, senior and corporate categories. Teams like St Henry’s College Kitovu, Aga Khan High School, Trinity Primary School, Nabisunsa Girls’ Schools, Lohana Academy, Kibuli SS, City Junior School among others joined CFK Badminton academy for this year’s edition.
The youngsters Kitenda Rehan shone brightest at the edition, he won both U-13 and U-15 categories while in a briefing with Rora media, he stated that, “I am happy for this award and I will maintain the performance and promise to perform well in Upcoming events. Am also thankful to my coaches and teammates as well.”
