The 2025 Ebika Byabaganda Football tournament has officially climaxed on Saturday, 7th June 2025 with Ngabi Nsamba taking on Ndiga in the final that was played at Muteesa II Stadium in Wakulukuku.
Ngabi Nsamba successfully Ngabi Nsamba defended the Bika Bya Baganda football shield, edging out Ndiga 6-5 in a penalty shootout after a 2-2 draw in normal time.
Ndiga started strong, with Reagan Mpande opening the scoring in the 4th minute before Ngabi Nsamba’s veteran forward Sula Malouda equalize through along range free kick later substitute Steven Yiga doubled the lead for Ngabi Nsamba only one minute late Ndiga equalize through their danger man Reagan Mpande stunning abrace in his name and the 90 minutes ended 2-2 sending the game into penalties.
Ngabi Nsamba won the penalties 6-5 after Ndiga experienced defender Isa Lumu failed to convert the penalty to prevail Ngabi Nsamba to their Sixth Ebika Byabaganda shield.
They had previously won the competition in 1951, 1987, 2007, 2013, 2024, and 2025.They join the record champions Mmamba Gabunga who have also defended the shield in the 1964 and 1965 .
Meanwhile, Ndiga’s Reagan Mpande was named as the Most Valuable Player of the tournament for his astonishing performances in the Ebika Byabaganda Football final were he scored abrace .
Elias Kiyimba crowned from Kasimba finished the tournament as the top scorer with five goals to his name.
Nseenene goalkeeper Henry Mwebe was named as the best custodian in the event that began in May. Mwebe also made a crucial save in the tournament to secure for Nseenene Ebika Byabaganda Football third placed crown .
In The Third Place Game , Nsenene defeated Kkobe clan 1-0 goal scored by Masembe Brian
