Ntambi, Wazir excites fans at FMU Sprint Championship in Garuga

Thousands of rally fans who turned up for the first FMU sprint at Garuga, left praising young stars Oscar Otambi and Wazir Omar.

Ntambi who raced against Uganda’s American based Robert Sebunya and Wazir who went against Asuman Mohammad in Godfrey Ayine Sodo’s Mitsubishi lancer Evo 10 displayed excellent flying skills at the bridge and corners.

The fans for the first time watched more than three runs, following the registration of few drivers in the event.

“Apart from a few drivers ,it was an exciting event and we enjoyed that driver in a white car called Wazir and also Ntambi. If well nurtured those are the future of Uganda rallying,” old man David Nsubuga said after the event.

The FMU sprint championship was a precursor to the fourth round of the national championship to be held in Jinja next month.

The sprint championship started with the motocross training race in the morning.
Jamairah Makumbi exhibited great talent at the same track in Entebbe.
