UMU Flames 63 Rezlife Saints 73

Rezlife Saints continued to build early-season authority in the National Basketball League, grinding down UMU Flames 73–63 at YMCA Court in Wandegeya to preserve their unbeaten run.

This was less about highlight plays and more about control. Rezlife dictated the rhythm through physical dominance on the boards and disciplined half-court execution, turning second-chance opportunities into a steady scoring stream. By the close of the first quarter, they had already edged ahead 14–9 — a modest lead that quietly shaped the night.

Hon Kwany set the foundation with a commanding double-double of 12 points and 14 rebounds, patrolling the paint and limiting UMU’s interior looks. Michael Otieno supplied the offensive spark with a team-high 19 points, while Edrine Ekau (15) and Kevin Moru (12) ensured the scoring burden was widely shared.

UMU Flames showed flashes of fight. Joshua Duallo’s 16 points and Gai Gordon Kong’s 12 kept them within reach, and their bench outscored Rezlife’s reserves 31–8. But every push was met with a response, largely because the Saints owned the glass, finishing with a 56–45 rebounding advantage.

The contest briefly lost focus in the third quarter when tempers flared, leading to disqualifications for Victoria Crocs players Marol Malok and Brian Taroch, as well as Rezlife’s Suka Fadul. Order was restored, and the Saints quickly regained composure to close out the game professionally.

The result extends Rezlife’s winning streak to four games, having already dispatched UPDF Tomahawks, KCCA Panthers and Victoria Crocs.

With momentum and muscle on their side, the Saints are not just winning — they are setting an early standard for the rest of the league to chase.
