Lugazi FC staged a stunning second-half comeback to defeat relegation-threatened Soltilo Bright Stars 3-1 on Friday at Lugazi Stadium in Najjembe.
The visitors took an early lead through Noordin Bunjo, whose 8th-minute looping strike beat goalkeeper Juma Mutebi.
Bright Stars nearly doubled their advantage moments later, but Nelson Ssenkatuka squandered a golden opportunity after a defensive error.

Trailing at the break, Lugazi coach made inspired substitutions that turned the tide. Moses Buga and Alvin Birungi came off the bench to devastating effect.
Birungi equalized in the 72nd minute with a close-range finish after a pinpoint cross from Basham Mugwa. Two minutes later, Buga curled home a beauty to give Lugazi the lead.
Birungi wasn’t done yet—he bagged his second and Lugazi’s third in the 79th minute, sealing a memorable win for the home side.
The victory lifts Lugazi FC to 11th place with 31 points, while Soltilo Bright Stars remain second from bottom on 16 points, with relegation fears mounting.
