Kawempe Muslim earned a crucial advantage in the first leg of their FUFA Women’s Cup semifinal clash against St. Noa Girls FC on Thursday.
Playing at the Valley Ground, the Warriors claimed a narrow 1-0 victory thanks to a 34th-minute strike from Jovia Nakagolo. The lanky forward outpaced the St. Noa defense and slotted a low shot past goalkeeper Lillian Nakirya to give the hosts the lead.

St. Noa pressed for an equalizer in the second half, but Kawempe held firm with a disciplined defensive display to preserve their slender advantage.
The two sides will meet again in the return leg on Sunday at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium to decide who progresses to the final.
Elsewhere, Amus College will host Uganda Martyrs in the second leg of their semifinal. Amus head into the match with a 3-1 lead from the first leg.
