Kitara FC turned on the style in front of their home fans, dismantling Lugazi FC 4-0 in a one-sided Uganda Premier League encounter at the Royals Park in Butema, Hoima, on Thursday.

It was a performance that spoke of intent and authority the kind of football that reminded everyone why Kitara remain one of the most exciting attacking sides in the league.

Patrick Kaddu, the experienced forward, led the charge with a commanding brace, setting the tone for a dominant evening. His first came in the 10th minute, calmly finishing after a neat assist from Isaac Amutuhairwe. Just before the break, Kaddu doubled the advantage from the penalty spot to put the game beyond Lugazi’s reach.

The second half saw Kitara’s bench rise to the occasion, with substitutes Yunus Sibira and Gaddafi Wahab adding their names to the scoresheet. Wahab’s strike a curling effort straight from a corner was a highlight moment that capped off the Royal performance.

The emphatic win lifts Kitara to sixth place on seven points, signaling a resurgence after an inconsistent start to the season. Lugazi, on the other hand, find themselves slipping to ninth with five points and plenty to fix ahead of their next outing.
Kitara will now prepare for a tricky away clash against SC Villa on November 6, while Lugazi host Buhimba United Saints two days later.

Meanwhile, in Njeru, BUL FC and Express FC played out a barren stalemate at the FUFA Technical Centre. The draw sent BUL to the top of the standings level on nine points with Buhimba United as Express settled in eighth place with five points.
