UPPC FC fell 2–0 to Police FC in a closely contested StarTimes Uganda Premier League encounter played on Wednesday at Bugonga Fisheries Ground in Entebbe.
The result saw Police move top the standings with 14 points, four points above fifth placed UPPC.

The hosts started brightly, dominating the early exchanges and creating the first meaningful chance when Hasan Ssenyonjo beat a defender before setting up Ambrose Kigozi, who was quickly closed down before he could get a proper shot away. For the opening 20 minutes, UPPC looked the better side, pushing the visitors back but failing to carve out a clear breakthrough against a well-organised Police defence.
Despite UPPC’s early dominance, it was Police who struck first. In the 32nd minute, Lawrence Tezikya pounced on a costly mistake from goalkeeper Rogers Omedwa, who hesitated instead of clearing his lines, allowing the forward to slot home the opener. Police carried their 1–0 lead into halftime.
UPPC restarted the second half with intent, making a double substitution as Noordin Bunjo and Charles Okello Batibwe came on for Steven Munguchi and John Kokas Alou. Their pressure increased, but Police’s back line remained disciplined, repeatedly clearing danger.

However, Police delivered the final blow in the 82nd minute when Abdushakur Jjemba Ramsey doubled their advantage, effectively sealing the victory.
Police made late changes with Umar Kasumba and Reagan Male Steven entering the fray as they saw out the game. After three minutes of added time, the visitors confirmed a 2–0 win.
