Simba 3-2 Mbale Hereos
The Buganda regional side Simba FC provided the biggest upset of the Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 64 by eliminating top flight league side, Mbale Hereos at the Namulonge playground in Gayaza this Sunday evening.
Simba has eliminated Mbale Heroes on a 3-2 victory as the surgeons became the first Uganda Premier league side to be eliminated from this season’s Uganda Cup.

Mbale Hereos broke the dreadlocks in the 28th minutes of the game through Katumba Edgar but after 12 minutes Simba got the equalizer through Oyet Patrick to end the first half square.
At the start of the second half, in 48th minute Katumba Edgar again gave the visitors a lead but three minutes on Kayemba Umar equalized for Simba while Kenneth Ssebaduka’s 51th minute to help Simba storm the round of 32 .

Baker Mbowa, the Mbale Heroes coach says that it’s not the result they expected but it’s also a chance for them to focus on the survival battle of relegation in the super league.
Alex Gitta the Simba FC boss was impressed with making history of qualifying for the round of 32 in the past three encounters hence beating their target.
