Izzy shines again as Uganda beats Namibia 8-1

Former motorcross rider, Isabella Blick Kabarozi has once again shined as she came scored again in the return leg to help the Uganda U17 Women’s National Football Team (Teen Cranes) go past Namibia in the CAF qualifier to the FIFA U17 Women World Cup.

Uganda beat Namibia 8-1 at Hamz Stadium Nakivubo to progress to the next round on a 18-1 aggregate. Blick scored the third goal of the day in the 36th minute of play. Goals from other teens including Joan Kizza Namulindwa who scored 3 goals, Rinah Ariho, Shadia Nabirye, Rashidah Nakalema and an own goal from Renalda Tamara gave Uganda a sweet 8-1 win.

Isabella, a midfielder with Uganda Martyrs Lubaga WFC, started this game only to be brought out at 90th minute after sustaining a knock while trying to get Uganda the ninth goal as she collided with the Namibia goalkeeper.

Uganda will now face Kenya at the second qualification phase.
