Betika has stepped up its support for Ugandan football with a Sh100m partnership with Ntugasaze FC as the newly promoted club prepares for its maiden Uganda Premier League campaign.

The deal, announced at Kira Road Police Grounds, where Ntugasaze will host its home matches this season, comes as the club prepares to make the biggest leap in its history.

Ntugasaze’s rise has been swift since its formation in 2018. The club secured promotion to the top flight after finishing second in the 2025/26 FUFA Big League with 53 points from 30 matches.

Betika Uganda Marketing Lead Desire Akanduhura said the partnership was driven by the club’s impressive progress, ambitious leadership and strong community connection.

“Ntugasaze is a young and ambitious club whose journey reflects what determination, good leadership and consistency can achieve,” Akanduhura said.

She added that Betika’s involvement would extend beyond conventional sponsorship, with the company seeking to enhance the experience of both players and supporters while contributing to the club’s long-term development.

The partnership will feature several fan and player engagement initiatives, including digital content, matchday activities and player recognition programmes.

One of the key highlights will be the introduction of a Sh150,000 Player of the Match award after every UPL fixture, rewarding outstanding individual performances.

Ntugasaze FC chief executive officer Ogwang Bob Brian welcomed the partnership, saying it arrives at a significant moment in the club’s development.

“Reaching the Uganda Premier League is the result of years of hard work, belief and commitment from everyone who has been part of Ntugasaze FC’s journey,” Ogwang said.

He added that Betika’s backing would provide valuable support as the club adjusts to the demands of top-flight football.

The partnership is part of Betika Uganda’s wider involvement in local sport, with the company seeking to support talent development, strengthen clubs and improve the relationship between teams, fans and their communities.
