The reigning Buganda Masaza Cup football champions Buddu will open up against Record Winners Gomba at the Kitovu Sports Arena in Masaka .
The official opening match of the 2025 Buganda Masaza Cup will take place on Saturday, 21th June, as announced by the Buganda Kingdom.
The group stage draw of the Buganda Masaza Cup tournament have been conducted on Thursday, 29th May at the Masaza Cup Team Leaders Symposium 2025 that kicked off this morning at the Makerere School of Public Health Auditorium .
Administrators from all the 18 Counties meeting up with the Ministry of Sports and Masaza Cup Organizing Committee ahead of the 2025 Masaza Cup Season.
Reigning champions Buddu have been paired in Bulange group alongside record winners Gomba ,Busiro,Buluuli, Busujju and Ssese .
Three time competition winners Mawokota are in Masengere group alongside Bugerere, Buwekula,Kyaddondo,Buvuma and Bulemeezi .
Last year’s runners up Kyaggwe are in Muganzirwazza group with two time winners Ssingo, Kabula, Butambala, Kkooki and Mawogola.
Buddu Ssaza is coached by Eric Kisuze who replaced Simon Ddungu who won the 2022 masaza Cup trophy following the in 2021 and 2016 masaza Cup victories while Gomba lions coached by reigning masaza Cup coach Simon Ddungu and their are record competition winners with five triumphs 2004, 2009, 2014, 2017.
