It will be do or die as football giants KCCA FC and Vipers SC go head-to-head this Saturday at FUFA Stadium, Kadiba in the Stanbic Uganda Cup final. With rich histories and packed trophy cabinets, both sides have battled fiercely to reach this final, and now just 90 minutes stand between them and national glory.

The Uganda Cup, one of the country’s most prestigious football titles, has all the ingredients this year for a classic showdown.

Vipers SC enter the final eager to cap their season with a second piece of silverware. Head Coach Fred Muhumuza stressed the importance of careful preparation and focus.

“This won’t be an easy game. We’re working hard to prepare properly,” Muhumuza said. “We’re managing the players’ fatigue, and they’re responding well. It’s the last match of the season, and we’re treating it with the seriousness it deserves. We know how important the Uganda Cup is, and we’re going all out to win it.”

Team captain Milton Karisa echoed his coach’s sentiments, underscoring the team’s passion and pride. “As players, we’re ready. This is a different kind of challenge, and we’re prepared to give everything for the team and for the badge,” Karisa said. “We know the fans sacrifice so much to support us, time, money, everything. We’ll honor that commitment on the pitch.”

KCCA FC, meanwhile, are equally fired up for the final. Head Coach Jackson Magera struck a confident note ahead of the clash.

“We’re not just showing up; we’re coming to compete and to win,” Magera affirmed. “This is our moment to bring home the silverware.”

KCCA captain Julius Poloto emphasized the mental and physical readiness of his squad. “We’ve been working hard in preparation for this game. The team understands the significance of the final, and everyone’s mindset is locked in,” Poloto said.

As the countdown to Saturday’s final continues, fans can expect a fierce battle between two of Uganda’s top football powerhouses, each hungry to end their season on a high.
