Buffaloes v Impis (Buffaloes won the first leg 20-11)
Saturday
First leg, 4pm
Heathens v Pirates
A place in the Uganda Rugby Premiership final will be on the line when Buffaloes host Impis in the decisive second leg of their semifinal clash on Friday.
Buffaloes carry a nine-point advantage into the encounter after emerging victorious in the first leg at Makerere Graveyard, but they know the tie is far from over against an Impis side that has repeatedly shown resilience throughout the season.

The hosts head into the match strengthened by the return of several key players who missed the opening leg due to national team commitments. Their availability adds experience and depth to a Buffaloes squad that has already demonstrated its ability to compete at a high level during the playoffs.
Despite holding the aggregate lead, Buffaloes are expected to approach the contest with caution. The first-leg victory provided a solid foundation, but knockout rugby often leaves little room for complacency, especially against an Impis team that overturned a significant deficit to eliminate KOBs in the quarterfinals.
Buffaloes will look to build on the qualities that earned them success in the opening meeting, particularly their defensive organisation and effectiveness at the breakdown. Converting opportunities inside the opposition’s territory could also prove crucial as they seek to protect their advantage and secure passage to the championship match.

For Impis, the task is straightforward but challenging. They must overturn the deficit and produce one of their strongest performances of the season to keep their title hopes alive. Their ability to respond under pressure has been evident in recent weeks, and they will draw confidence from previous comeback victories.
With a place in the final at stake and little separating the two sides in terms of ambition, Friday’s semifinal promises to be a fiercely contested battle between teams determined to extend their season by one more week.
