Buhimba United Saints FC has made a strategic move to boost its attacking options ahead of their inaugural season in the Uganda Premier League by securing Ugandan striker Conrad Ssenjogera from Express FC.
The 23-year-old attacker joins the Saints on a two-year contract, bringing a proven goal-scoring record and the promise of added firepower to the newly promoted side.
Ssenjogera’s journey has seen him feature for Ntugasaze FC and Karuguuza United FC before making a mark at Express FC. Last season, he netted five goals in just seven appearances, including a decisive brace against Bright Stars FC, highlighting his ability to perform in crucial moments.
Buhimba United Saints FC believes Conrad’s experience and versatility will be pivotal as the club navigates the challenges of top-flight football.
In his first statement after signing, Ssenjogera expressed his ambition: “Joining Buhimba United Saints FC is a big step for me. I’m here to score goals, help the team succeed, and make my family proud. I can’t wait to get started.”
The club’s management is optimistic that Conrad’s addition will energize the squad and excite fans ahead of their Premier League debut.
Club president Ahuura Julius hailed the signing, emphasizing Conrad’s ability to transform the team and drive the club forward. “We are eager to witness the difference Conrad will make on the field and how he’ll help elevate our squad,” he stated.
