This win marked BUL’s fourth consecutive league victory, following recent triumphs over Express FC (2-0), Mbale Heroes (3-0), and Bright Stars (2-0).
Historically, BUL has dominated this fixture, with four wins and two draws in their last six encounters against Kitara FC. In this latest match, both teams demonstrated strong defensive performances, resulting in a goalless first half. The deadlock was broken in the second half when BUL capitalized on a set-piece opportunity, with their substitute Jeromy Kirya scoring home the decisive goal
Kirya who replaced injured Pascal Ngobi in the 54th minute after Kitara defenders failed to clear away the ball.
This victory propels BUL FC to third place in the league standings, amassing 32 points from 19 games. Kitara FC, despite the loss, remains in fourth position with 28 points.
