CAF confirms host venues for 2025 TotalEnergies African Nations Championship

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the main venues for the 2025 TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN), scheduled to take place from August 2 to August 30, 2025. The tournament will be hosted across four venues in East Africa: Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, and Zanzibar.

Host Venues

  • The Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, will host the opening match.
  • The Mandela National Stadium in Kampala, Uganda, will host the third-place playoff.
  • The Kasarani Stadium in Nairobi, Kenya, will host the grand finale.
  • The Amaan Stadium in Zanzibar will feature prominently during the group stages.

Group Stage Venues

Each host city will accommodate one of the four groups:

  • Group A (Kenya, Morocco, Angola, DR Congo, and Zambia): Nairobi
  • Group B (Tanzania, Madagascar, Mauritania, Burkina Faso, and Central African Republic): Dar es Salaam
  • Group C (Uganda, Niger, Guinea, South Africa, and Algeria): Kampala
  • Group D (Senegal, Nigeria, Congo, and Sudan): Zanzibar
