Dauda promises fire in his comeback at EMC Rally with new machine

The Bugerere Stabex EMC Rally, the fourth round of the national rally calendar, is set to take place in Kayunga, Jinja, and Iganga from July 10 to 12, 2025.

Umar Dauda, who has recently acquired a new Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 10 has vowed to fellow competitors a run for their money.

Dauda, a two-time Fort Portal rally winner (2022 and 2023), had been missing in action. However, with the help of the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of Uganda (FMU) and supporters, he was able to purchase a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 10.

He unveiled his new car at Tarvan Woods in Kabuusu and is eager to showcase its capabilities in Jinja and Kayunga.

I’ve been away for a while, but I’m back with a vengeance,” Dauda said. “I’ve been itching to get back behind the wheel, and I promise to give it my all. The new Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 10 is a beast, and I’m confident it’ll deliver the results we’re looking for.”

Other top driver, Hassan Alwi, recently acquired a Ford Fiesta Proto will also compete in the Bugerere Stabex EMC Rally.

The Bugerere Stabex EMC Rally will take place from July 10 to 12, 2025, in Kayunga, Jinja, and Iganga. It’s expected to attract a large crowd of rally enthusiasts and will feature some of the best drivers in the country.
