Vipers SC President Dr. Lawrence Mulindwa has rewarded the club’s players with a cash bonus of Shs200 million following their triumphant campaign in the 2024/25 Uganda Premier League.
The generous gesture was announced shortly after the Venoms were officially crowned champions at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende, on Saturday. Vipers secured the title after a competitive season, finishing with 69 points, two ahead of closest rivals NEC FC.
Dr. Mulindwa, a long-time patron and visionary behind the club’s success, congratulated the players and technical team for their hard work, resilience, and commitment throughout the season.
He emphasized that the reward was a token of appreciation for their outstanding performance and for bringing pride to the club and its supporters.
The Shs200 million package will be shared among the players and coaching staff, as the club looks to build on this success ahead of upcoming regional and continental competitions. This is on top of sh60m prize money they won after winning the league.
Vipers’ best player and top scorer of the league with 19 goals Allan Okello was also given sh5m by Mulindwa for his tremendous performance.
