Express FC will be looking to bounce back to winning ways when they host Police FC at Hamz Stadium on Thursday in the Uganda Premier League.
After a disappointing 1-0 defeat to newly promoted Lugazi FC in their last outing, the Red Eagles will be eager to respond positively, especially after their dominant 4-1 victory over Wakiso Giants just days prior.
Express come into this fixture as favorites, given their superior league position and head-to-head record against Police. However, they must be cautious against a Police side that, despite sitting just above the relegation zone, has proven difficult to beat this season.

Police FC, the 2005 league champions, have only lost five matches this season—fewer than all but three teams (Vipers, NEC, and BUL). However, they have struggled to turn draws into wins, having registered only three victories all season.
Express is seventh with 28 points, eight above 13th placed Police.
Coach Simon Peter Mugerwa remains optimistic despite their recent 1-0 defeat to Vipers SC. He emphasized that his team played well against the table leaders and wants to build on that performance by converting their chances.
In the reverse fixture, Express and Police played out a 2-2 draw, with Police salvaging a point through a late Isaac Ogwang penalty. However, Police have not beaten Express since their stunning 6-1 victory in 2020 at Lugogo.
