The FUFA Club Licensing Committee has confirmed that fourteen clubs have successfully secured licenses to participate in the 2025/26 FUFA Big League season. This followed the submission deadline of August 21, 2025, when all clubs were required to present mandatory documentation.

Among those cleared to feature are Ntugasaze FC, Blacks Power FC, Kataka FC, Kiyinda Boys FC, Kigezi Homeboyz FC, Onduparaka FC, Wakiso Giants FC, Soltilo Bright Stars FC, Mbale Heroes FC, CATDA FC, Iganga United FC, Young Elephants Academy FC, Nebbi Central FC and Paidha Black Angels SC.

However, Bunyaruguru United FC and Kaaro Karungi FC failed to meet the licensing requirements after missing the submission deadline. The two clubs have not been granted approval but retain the right to appeal the decision before August 27, 2025.

As part of the licensing process, stadium inspections were also conducted across the country. Several home grounds did not meet the required standards, including Ebenezer University Play Ground for Blacks Power, Bugolobi Coffee Grounds for CATDA, Iganga Ssaza Grounds for Iganga United, Luo Grounds for Nebbi Central, Kyamate Play Ground for Kaaro Karungi, Green Light Stadium for Onduparaka, Bar Okoro Stadium for Paidha Black Angels and Kyambura Play Ground for Bunyaruguru United.

FUFA confirmed that a second round of inspections will take place between August 24 and 30, 2025, after which final decisions regarding stadium approvals will be communicated.
