The Federation of Uganda Football Associations have officially reinstated Kampala Region Football Associations Chairman, Dirisa Kasalirwe today morning at FUFA Complex Mengo.
On 8th August 2024 FUFA suspended Kasalirwe, and his Vice Chairperson, Nkugwa Peter, amid allegations of misuse of office.
The suspension followed preliminary investigations launched by the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Committee into possible violations of the FUFA ethics and disciplinary code.
Allegations had surfaced against the officials accusing them of soliciting money from referees in exchange for match assignments and appointments within the Kampala region.
The FUFA Investigatory Chamber of the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Committee cleared Kasalirwe to resume his involvement in football related activities following completion of formal investigations into a complaint filed against him for alleged violation of FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Code.
